  • WHERE: SPELLMAN AMPHITHEATER AT FORNEY COMMUNITY PARK 
The 2017 summer Movies & Music in the Park Series will run May, June and July with alternating Thursday Night Concerts at 8:00PM and Friday Night Movies at sunset. Gates open 1 hour prior to showtime. Blankets, lawn chairs, picnics and coolers 12x12x17 are permitted.

The planning for the third annual Forney BBQ Cook-Off & Festival is well on the way. This LSBS sanctioned cook-off will benefit the Forney Food Pantry and Sharing the Love Foundation. Live music and family-friendly activities will be going on all weekend in conjunction with this event.

The annual Trail of Treats event will kick-off at Forney Community Park. The event is FREE and will include activities for the entire family. Not only will we there be the annual ‘trail of treats’ with a number of candy booths, but inside the Spellman Amphitheater, there will be a sunset movie, costume fashion show and a number of games for children.

In partnership with the Forney ISD Air Force JROTC, the City of Forney welcomes everyone to attend the Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony will offer performances of the National Anthem and TAPS by FISD students, along with a patriotic melody. We encourage all residents to attend and show their support for our local residents
