Citizens Police Academy

The Forney Police Department (FPD) is again offering its Citizens Police Academy beginning in the Spring 2018 for Forney residents. The Academy begins January 16 and will offer residents a unique, hands-on experience of law enforcement practices such as recruitment, training, narcotics, firearms and much more. The academy will also provide the opportunity for residents to learn about crime scene analysis in addition to the Patrol, Crime Investigation and Traffic divisions. The academy will serve as an educational experience and give residents an opportunity to build relationships with those who protect and serve the community. Classes will be held Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Forney Municipal Court, 331 S. FM 548, and limited to residents only. For more information or questions, please contact Detective Michael Clay at 972.564.7606.

If you are interested in participating in the Citizens Police Academy, please fill out the following form and return in to the Police Department as soon as possible. You may also email it to Detective Clay at MClay@forneypd.org.
