Is the green in your lawn weeds or grass? Do you have brown circles in your yard? How much water will my lawn actually need this spring? These are just a few of the questions that residents will have answered during the February 18 Texas A&M AgriLife Extension “Lawncare” class at City Hall, 101 E. Main St. from 9 to 11 a.m. The class is FREE to anyone who would like to come. The program covers basic lawn maintenance practices and selecting the right turf grass to improve the health and longevity of your landscape, while also learning how to maintain your landscape using less water, fertilizer and pesticides. The City will be also hosting a free “Water Efficient Landscape” program on April 15 from 9 to 11 a.m., as well. Along with these two classes, the Texas A&M Agrilife Research and Extension Center at Dallas, has also agreed to offer two more free classes for residents later in the spring.
