City Reaches Agreement for New Veterinary Services

The Forney Animal Shelter is excited to announce that the City of Forney has reached an agreement with Stone Creek Veterinary Hospital to provide a number of veterinary services for current and future animals at the new Shelter. This agreement allows the City to provide spay and neuter services to all adopted animals.

In addition to the new veterinary services agreement, the City has also recently partnered with Adopt-A-Pet, North America’s largest non-profit pet adoption website. The partnership with Adopt-A-Pet allows all pets available for adoption to not only be posted on the City’s website, but also to be cross posted on the Adopt-A-Pet website, reaching thousands of people in search of a new loving pet.

“I am excited about both new partnerships and believe the residents will be too.” said Community Development Director Peter Morgan. “Our goal is to find all of our shelter pets a new loving home and it takes partnerships like these to make that a reality.”

All pets will now be required to be sterilized before adoption is final. To cover the cost of the services, the adoption fee is $75 for an animal that requires sterilization and $35 for an animal that does not require sterilization.
