During the January 16 City Council meeting, Community Waste Disposal representatives presented their 2017 annual review to the Council. The review consisted of collection numbers throughout the City as well as a “Keep Texas Beautiful” award presented to Mayor Rick Wilson. The “Keep Texas Beautiful” award recognizes the efforts of those of those who continue to enhance their community. The City’s vision is to make our community the cleanest in the state and in 2017 our residents recycled more than 967 tons of material. That translates to saving roughly 16,439 trees, 367,460 gallons of oil and 3,191 yards of landfill space. Thanks to everyone for their continued recycling efforts and let’s top this number next year!
