  • If you walk on a skinned surface (infield) and leave footprints, the field is not playable.
  • If you walk on a grass surface and water is visible as you step (squishy), the field is not playable.

Note: Since everyone is practicing on the same fields their games will be on, it is vital to err on the side of caution for practicing or playing when the field is unsafe or can be damaged.

Reserve a Field

Ball field reservations begin on Monday mornings at 8 a.m. by email only. Phone calls and walk-in reservations are not accepted. You may email Monday at 8 a.m. for a reservation for the following Wednesday evening time slot or a Sunday time slot. Emails sent before 8 a.m. will not be processed.  Reservations will be made by a coach or parent. Fifty percent (50%) of the youth using the facility, recreational and selected groups combined must reside in the City of Forney or reside in the Forney School District. Coaches or parents requesting a reservation must submit a Field Use Application along with a current official team roster showing each player’s physical residence.  If your team is not registered with the local sports organization (MESA, FYBA, FYFL or FSA) you must provide a copy of your certificate of liability insurance.  Priority for field reservations will go to select/club/academy teams and the general public (family play/birthday parties).  Any fields remaining will be available for teams registered with the local youth associations.

Due to high demand, you may not reserve a field 2 consecutive weeks in a row.
