Building Applications: Residential

The City of Forney Community Development Department requests that all for all residential projects, developers must submit TWO sets of plans and specifications to the City. In addition, a plot plan with all construction documents, must be submitted with each set of plans and specifications. If not already obtained, those wishing to do business in the City of Forney MUST also obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. If a fence is to be installed, ONE additional plot plan is required. The following chart includes several residential permits. Each permit has its own dedicated page along with instructions on how you can start the application process today. Residents and developers may not complete the permit process online, including paying for permits, licenses or certificates. All prices labeled for permits are the price and do not include scheduled fees. Fee's can be found below in the following PDF's.

All contractors that complete work in the City of Forney must be registered through the City. If you are not registered, please complete theContractor Registration Application and pay the necessary $35 fee per license. (Plumbing contractors are excempt from registration fee.) To complete the Contractor Registration Application, please attach the application to the Contractor Registration Form and pay the fee.
