If you want to have a craft-beer inspired event, the most important thing you must have is the craft beer! We have been working for many months on assembling a list of local breweries who would want to be a part of this inaugural event.
Texas Ale Project
Texas Ale Project is a veteran & family-owned and operated craft brewery that opened in November 2014. David Stevens has been a successful Texas entrepreneur for most of his life and today he leads up Business Development for the brewery. Kat Thompson, CEO, and her husband, Brent Thompson, Head Brewer, are also a military family. Sure to be favorite at the event includes their 50 FT Jackrabbit IPA.
Community Beer Co.
Local. Handmande. Award-winning. Are all adjectives that describe what Community Beer Co. is all about. Like the company's name, Community Beer Co. strives to be an integral part of the North Texas community and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them at Brews on Bois d' Arc this year!
Peticolas Brewing Company
Annually ranked as one of the best breweries by "D Magazine", Peticolas Brewing Company was formed in 2011. In its first year of operations, Peticolas won numerous local and national awards, including the prestigious gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival. A GABF gold medal is an objective measure that describes a beer as being a world class example of a particular style, in other words they the bomb!
Oak Highlands Brewery
Beer Above All. Oak Highlands Brewery is a production brewery and taproom in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Texas. Oak Highlands Brewery has a 2,200-square foot production area with new floors that are sloped to drains. Always considered to be on a craft beer journey, Four Corners Brewery was launched in Dallas, Texas in 2009. Throughout the last decade, the brewery has been dedicated to making “better beer” through innovation, raw ambition, wild creativity, new traditions and entrepreneurial passion.
Most of all, the group was fascinated by the cultural value brewers have added to Dallas. They’ve brought a diverse group of people together to celebrate a common passion. Their fans have been tribal and welcoming. While Dallas was a craft beer desert, they have made it their goal to elevate craft beer culture in their community. Four Corners took inspiration from their neighborhood roots and created a place where local flavor could intersect craft brewing. We are super excited to announce that Mckinney-based, TUPPS Brewery will be appearing at our inaugural event on October 5. The TUPPS core lineup is wonderfully balanced and includes something for everyone. The National Standard is a light American Ale and is go-to summer beer for the lake, pool or dinner party. Their IPA is brewed with citra, galaxy and mosaic hops, and bursts with tropical aromas. Another core beer that will sure get your attention is the Rising Hope. This American Ale is brewed with real, organic Pink Guava fruit purée. TUPPS Brewery partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation for this brew. There are six different can designs per 6 pack. The people on each can are meant to symbolize someone who has been affected by breast cancer — the patient, the mother, the friend, the husband, the doctor and so on.
