Celebrate Independence Day on June 30 at Community Park

The City of Forney will hold its annual Independence Day Celebration at Community Park, 241 S. FM 548, on Saturday, June 30 beginning at 6 p.m. This FREE event will have activities for all ages including rides, food trucks, live entertainment and FIREWORKS! There will also bounce houses and obstacle courses available for children from 6 to 9 p.m. along with face painting at the Connect Church tent. Come hungry, because there will be more than a dozen vendors providing several types of cuisine, including BBQ, street tacos, pizza, popcorn, snow cones, ice cream and other carnival style food.

We are also happy to announce that the Inside out Band will be playing live from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Known for their high energy, engaging and interactive concerts, the band has quickly set the bar for party bands in the southwest. We are excited to have them and their amazing ensemble and know they will rock!

Once the concert has completed, the fireworks show will begin from the north side of the Community Park at approximately 9:30 p.m. Parking will be available at the Community Park, however if we reach capacity, parking will also be available at both the Forney Baptist Church and Forney High School.
